What is hypnosis? Hypnosis creates an altered state of awareness where the subconscious level of your mind is much more open to change than it normally is.
How does hypnotherapy work? Our beliefs, behaviours, and habits are located beneath the part of our mind that we are unaware of: the subconscious. Hypnosis accesses the subconscious enabling me to use a variety of techniques to change unwanted thoughts and behaviours, solve problems and relieve anxieties.
How will I know I was hypnotised? Hypnosis feels different for everyone. Some people feeling like they are drifting and floating, while others feel fully aware throughout.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis? No, you can’t. Hypnosis is a state of focussed attention, not unconsciousness. You can choose to awaken from hypnosis at any time.
Will I do or say anything embarrassing? No, you won’t. Under hypnosis you are always in control and you will never say or do anything you don’t want. You may, however, feel comfortable about sharing things that you wouldn’t with friends and family.
What conditions and problems can hypnotherapy help with? Hypnotherapy can be used to relieve the symptoms of a variety of medical and psychological conditions, problems, habits and anxieties, as well as helping you break free of life-limiting or bad habits. I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety and stress. Click here for a more comprehensive list of what i can help you with.
