\nI just wanted to let you know, We had a beautiful baby girl Maddison on 28\/08\/24.\u2060
\n\u2060
\nWe felt much more prepared, educated and ready thanks to you (@wiseperinatal<\/a>) and the course we did!! \u2060
\n\u2060
\nAfter a long and slow 30 hour labour at home, using the techniques we learned to rest and relax as much as possible s as well as a TENs machine, things ramped up really fast. At 4am the surges were intense and I got into the shower and to and from the fitness ball. I kept moving with what felt right. \u2060
\n\u2060
\nAt 5 am the surges were lasting 2 mins every 2 mins. Mike called the midwife at the family birth centre who said to stay at home for another hour and call her back as she\u2019d hate to send us home. By this point I was exhausted and just wanted to go in and wanted to give up. I felt the need to sit on the toilet and went to and from, nearly in tears that things were going to get so much harder and they were couldn\u2019t go in yet.\u2060
\n\u2060
\nI felt the need to push on the toilet for a while. Then I yelled out at Mike, I felt her head at 5.30am. He called an ambulance and the midwife and stayed with me, not really knowing what to do. Her little head came out as I squat on the bathroom floor, followed by her body. She cried within 5 seconds ! \u2060\"newborn<\/a>
\n\u2060
\nWe were in shock but totally amazed ! I held my little girl in my arms on the bathroom floor for about 10mins until the ambulance arrived. They were amazing, clamped the cord and Mike cut it. They helped me downstairs to the ambulance while Mike held her and we were taken to the family birth centre with her on my chest the whole way. I was in shock, lost a bit of\u2060 Blood and needed IV fluids but other than that, both Maddison and I were absolutely fine! \u2060

\nI look back at it and it was an amazing experience, beautiful birth with no interventions!! \u2060
\n\u2060
\nWe were home by 4pm that afternoon as a family of 3 \ud83d\ude42 \u2060
