How lucky I was to have such an amazing birthing experience and I definitely know it was because both Ben and I had the Hypnobirthing techniques to use.\u201d<\/h5>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 10px;\">MAISIE&#8217;S BIRTH STORY<\/h4>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11273 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/hypnobirthingaustralia.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/maisie-may.jpg\" alt=\"maisie-may\" width=\"330\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hypnobirthingaustralia.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/maisie-may.jpg 330w, https:\/\/hypnobirthingaustralia.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/maisie-may-275x300.jpg 275w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/>Hi Melissa,<\/p>\n<p>Little baby Maisie has arrived :o)<\/p>\n<p>We were so sure we were having a boy &#8221; so of course she&#8217;s a girl!!\u00a0Maisie arrived and weighed 7lb 10oz and perfect!<\/p>\n<p>My labour and delivery was awesome! Labour started the morning after\u00a0my acupuncture session. I was having 1 per week to help with sleeping\u00a0and heartburn and to get my body ready. I had mild contractions all\u00a0day Friday that ramped up at midnight. I laboured at home throughout\u00a0the early morning and we went to hospital at around sunrise.<\/p>\n<p>I declined standard vaginal examinations and continual monitoring etc\u00a0and thanks to an amazing midwife who understood we were after a\u00a0natural birth and were using Hypnobirthing techniques for pain relief,\u00a0helped us have the day just how we wanted it.<\/p>\n<p>I had the affirmations cd playing on the cd player constantly\u00a0throughout the day. I laboured on my side in the lateral position and\u00a0Ben says every time he referred back to the book, I was doing it\u00a0pretty much as it read.<\/p>\n<p>Breathing was definately key.\u00a0I birthed Maisie just after 4pm. I just let my body take over at that\u00a0stage, I felt the pushing urge but didn&#8217;t need to push as such as I\u00a0was feeling my body do it for me! I came away with just a graze.<\/p>\n<p>We were on cloud nine after the birth. I was so happy and was amazed\u00a0at how great I instantly felt! The midwife offered me some Vegemite\u00a0toast and a cup of tea and I ate it while we had our skin on skin and\u00a0first feed!<\/p>\n<p>We came home with Maisie on Sunday, she was only 24hrs old.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe how great I feel. How lucky I was to have such an\u00a0amazing birthing experience and I definitely know it was because both\u00a0Ben and I had the Hypnobirthing techniques to use.
